Trent Gudmundsen
Yes, Mark and Trent Gudmundsen are related. Art runs in the family. Trent has proven himself as an accomplished plein air painter. Although Trent found his artistic beginnings in the landscapes of the West, he is equally drawn to paint any subject that has the right "magic". In particular, Trent has developed a unique way of capturing on canvas the happenings of people in their "natural" settings.

Donald Neff: An American painter
I paint the places I love to be. I paint the freshness of eternal nature, icy lucid streams, thunderous waterfalls, and soaring granite crests over silent lakes. I paint the descriptions of John Muir, the echoes of Ansel Adams, the American West of Albert Bierstadt and Thomas Moran. I paint luminosity filtering through the landscape, reaching to the foundation of a stream, bouncing off rocks, and illuminating the shadows.

Kevin Maddrey
I find that painting is more about the process of creating and visualizing what I see. The end results are nice, but it's not the focus. This philosophy about the process, has transcended painting and has influenced all aspects of my life. When I'm painting, I'm looking at the big picture. I view my subject on so many different levels from technical aspects to the feelings that the subject produces. I feel that I view people and the world in which I live in broader terms then I did in the past. The superficial details are meaningless, the essence of the subject is what intrigues me.
